Filmmaker, film scholar. She authored “History of TajikCinema” and “Documentaries in Tajik Culture of the XX century”, conducted expert assessments on the film industry covering film education, production and distribution in Tajikistan (2020). She also assessed the state and development of digital skills in the creative industries (film, music, cultural event organization) in Tajikistan (2022) and Uzbekistan (2023) for UNESCO-Almaty. As a member of the Filmmakers’ Union of Tajikistan and the Network for the Promotion of Asian Cinema (NETPAC), Dr. Sharofat served as an international jury in 14+ countries, including cities in CA, Russia, South Korea, India, Canada, and many more.  

Her films not only won hearts but also many film awards and mentions. For instance, “Khayolfurush” (2017) directed by her received Jury Special Film award at the 4th Kashmir World Film Festival and the Golden Begonia Award at the 7th Asian Micro Film Art Festival in Lintzan, Yunnan, PRC. She also received Grand-Prix, Diploma of Film Experts, silver and gold excellency and other special prizes. The experience and knowledge of Dr. Sharofat is truly impressive!
